Direct answer
Ordinary usecos calculator and landlord-document inputs run in your browser and do not require a UseCOS account. We collect directly identifying information only when you voluntarily send a contact form or a launch-interest form. Server APIs process the fields submitted to those endpoints to provide the requested calculation or service.
Ordinary browser-based inputs are not sent to UseCOS. This includes mortgage, salary, GST/HST, rental-property, and BC landlord-document fields unless a page clearly uses a server API.
When you contact us, we collect the name, email address, and message you submit so we can receive and respond to it.
When you reserve a founding price, we collect the name, email address, and consent you submit. The stated consent is limited to one launch or purchase-link email and is not a general marketing subscription.
We do not sell submitted names or email addresses and do not add Pro-interest requests to an unrelated mailing list.
We use Umami Analytics, a cookie-free analytics tool, to understand page and feature usage. It may record page URL, referrer, browser language, screen size, page title, hostname, and country-level location. Custom events use small labels such as calculator type, landlord document type, or an action like copy or print. We do not send calculator inputs, landlord or tenant names, addresses, dates, amounts, form email addresses, or generated document text to Umami.
We do not use cookies for advertising or analytics. Local Storage may be used for tool preferences and recent local lookups. This browser data can be removed at any time through your browser settings.
Form submissions are delivered through the configured Gmail account to the UseCOS support mailbox. Umami processes the limited analytics information described above. The NHTSA API receives VINs submitted for US recall lookups. We do not share calculator or document inputs with advertisers.
Contact and founding-interest messages may remain in the support mailbox while needed to answer the request, manage the stated launch interest, prevent abuse, or keep an appropriate business record. To request correction or deletion of a submitted form message, email support@usecos.app. Browser Local Storage remains on your own device until you clear it.
You do not need an account to use the free tools. You can avoid submitting identifying information by not using optional forms. For access, correction, deletion, or other privacy questions, contact us.
